George DeFord Scholarship Fund

The George F. DeFord Scholarship is named in honor of the charter president of the Morgan State University Southern Maryland Alumni Chapter. The scholarship honors Dr. DeFord's commitment, service and dedication in establishing the Chapter. We welcome contributions to the fund. Checks should be made payable to MSU-Southern Maryland Alumni Chapter and sent to P.O. Box 1404, Waldorf, Maryland 20604.


Eligible: High School Seniors

Criteria: Attending Morgan State University Fall of 2019; 2.5+ GPA on a 4.0 scale

Award: $1,000
